New INspi Board elected for 2023 & 2024
Indiana Society of Professional Investigators (INspi) held an election for the Executive Board. Kenneth Shelton, a Past President of INspi with Shelton Investigations in Angola, Indiana, chaired the election committee and conducted oversight of the elections that took place in November of 2021.
Steve Radde of Radde Investigations & Security Agency Inc. in South Bend, Indiana was elected to serve as President of INspi.
David Shelton of Illiana Investigations in Vincennes, Indiana was elected Vice-President of INspi.
Michael Jenkins of JM Jenkins Investigations in LaPorte, Indiana was elected Secretary of INspi.
In 2022 INspi celebrated our 50th year anniversary and is the largest and oldest Professional Investigators and Security Guards Association in Indiana. The term of the board is for two years. “I have extreme confidence the new board will continue to lead and promote the mission of INspi” said George Gergis, outgoing president.

INspi Reached 50 Years of Service
In 2022, INspi will be reaching an incredible milestone, 50 years of promoting excellence for our profession. The organization began in 1972 as the Indiana Association of Private Detectives and later changed the name to Indiana Society of Professional Investigators. With the volunteer work, time, funds and commitment by many professionals the organization continues to benefit members, citizens and the profession.
“It has been a great pleasure to be a part of INspi and an honor to be at the helm as we reach our 50th year in service” said George Gergis, the President of INspi.
Thank you to all that have participated. Special thanks to the ones that are no longer with us, however, we continue to experience the benefits of their hard work.

INspi Board to form ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE
During the Indiana Society of Professional Investigators (INspi) Executive Board Meeting held on March 12, 2021, the Board voted for the formation of the INspi Standards & Accreditation Committee. The committee is to be given the authority to initiate a process for accrediting firms that meet the standards, commitment and dignity deserving of professional investigators.
In 2020, INspi created the INspi Quality Standards for Investigations Guide, which will be utilized as a guide in the newly formed committee’s goals and plan. (Free digital versions of the guide are available to all INspi members via the membership access on our website at www.IndianaInvestigators.com)

The guide was formed to not only demonstrate the standards used by professionals, however, due to the complexity of the services offered by private investigators, the guide also serves to educate the public and consumers as to expectations of quality and service offered by professional investigators.
George Gergis, CLI, the primary investigator in northern Indiana for Investigative Support Unit, Inc, was presiding over the board meeting as the current President of INspi. “By forming the Standards & Accreditation Committee, INspi is continuing to demonstrate a commitment to professionalism in the industry and a commitment to protect the public and the people of Indiana.”
The IQSI guide was generated to assist investigators to perform with high quality standards and provide knowledge to the general public on how to recognize quality service regarding private sector investigative services.

INspi Board elected to New Term
In December of 2020, INspi held an election for the Executive Board. Brandy Lord, with Integrity Investigations, Inc. chaired the election committee and conducted oversight of the elections that took place in December of 2020.
George Gergis, CLI, the primary investigator in northern Indiana for Investigative Support Unit, Inc, was elected to a second term as President of the Indiana Society of Professional Investigators (INspi).
Steve Radde, the President of Radde Investigations & Security Agency Inc, was elected to a second term as Vice-President of INspi.
Roger Getz, the President of Getz Investigations Inc, was elected Secretary of INspi.
No candidates ran for Treasurer; however, Brandy Lord, the President of Integrity Investigations Inc, received numerous write-in votes. She accepted the position after being appointed to the vacancy in 2019 and has agreed to continue to serve in that position.
During the board’s leadership in the last two years, INspi completed a project of developing a guide for private sector investigators. The guide outlines the standards that measure quality for investigators and is known as the “INspi Quality Standards for Investigators Guide” first published in 2020.
The IQSI guide was generated to assist investigators to perform with high quality standards, and provide knowledge to the general public on how to recognize quality service regarding private sector investigative services. An electronic version of the guide is anticipated to be available this year. Additional information on obtaining the guide can be found at the INspi website at www.IndianaInvestigators.com.
